I lost a great deal in LUNA. But I knew the risk. I simply felt that UST was collateralized enough to prevent the machinations of the raider. I thought UST was too big, but I was wrong. I also felt that Terra - the network infrastructure - was developed enough now that we would not see it overrun, which resulted in users being unable to cover their leveredged Anchor loans. Again, I was wrong. I knew I shouldn’t be riding my motorcycle without a helmet, but I’m not blaming anyone because I hit a tree. The network infrastructure will be saved and most projects will migrate to Cosmos blockchains. The individual developers will write code and deploy it on app chains - and many of the budding Cosmos app chains like JUNO will flourish with the influx of talent. This is the equivalent of a Formula 4 racing team hiring last years winning teams mechanic. But LUNA and UST are done. There is no coming back. We bet on them and lost. The talent that built Terra will leave. And as a result, there will be no Anchor protocol to earn 20% on your crypto. 10% return on Stablecoins will come to be seen as fantastic and sustainable. This is the new reality.

I lost more than 400 LUNA. And I had UST deployed in liquidity protocols all across the Defi space. So, yeah. I was effected. Bitter? Not really. I knew the risk.

LUNA will not recover. Not simply because no one will trust Do Kwon. Money forgives hubris; that just takes more money. But we will never see another completely algorithmic stablecoin. All Stablecoins will be collateralized, so the basic use case for LUNA no longer exists.

Effectively 0. It will never be exactly 0 for the traditional reasons, but LUNA will become valueless as people come to terms with the idea that the talented developers that built the Terra Network are no longer contributing.

What is your opinion about the Luna crash?

Terra crashed because of their UST peg algorithm fault as it's imperfect . UST is stablecoin of Terra ecosystem which is pegged by a math algorythm in order to balance it's supply and demand and keep the rate as 1 UST = 1$. LUNA is used as collateral for UST’s peg in this algorithm. So, LUNA is burning to mint more UST when UST value increases and users sell LUNA for UST, or it's going vice versa if UST value decreases. Because of a market situation within last some months, the LUNA circulation supply was permanently growing to maintain this balance, but more of Luna supply means reducing it's price. Then a sudden large dump by a whale provoked a panic sale, the algorithm was unable to maintain the balance at time, and the panic was growing like a chain reaction up to the price crash to zero.

Yes, i was holding some LUNA, UST and some Terra tokens. My Terra portfolio went about 98% down. It's sad, but fortunately the total amount was not so significant. I can afford to lose it.

As a LUNA holder, i still have a hope for it's recover , of course. But also other fact add me a hope.Terra is a large ecosystem, it includes many useful projects with a real usecase, many people have invested a lot of money & efforts, and don't want just lose&forget at once. And now all of them have a challenge what to do the next, how to save Terra and their own investments, projects, etc. A such large&talented community is able to find a right solution, i believe.

UST has recently ‘de-pegged’ to $0.45 from its value of $1. This marked a drop of about 55 percent. Since both UST and LUNA are interlinked, the massive drop in UST value has resulted in LUNA’s overall drop. What happened was that the CEO of Terra (LUNA) tweeted that a large institution borrowed 100,000 Bitcoin from Gemini exchange. They then exchanged a large amount of that BTC for UST liquidity. That institution allegedly dumped large amounts of both BTC and UST on the market causing a liquidation Cascade of leverage longs, slippage and panic selling by investors, many of which sold their LUNA holdings and unstaked their UST to sell it.
