For 2022 it is really difficult to say. The hype that the metaverse topic got after Facebook Meta announcement took both MANA and SAND prices a little bit higher that what these platforms actually are right now. On the long term, if the projects succeed, both tokens can get minimum of 10x value. But for 2022, we can see some corrections and the prices can fall back to the US$1-3 range.

I would bet on Sandbox. It is represented in socials much better than Decentraland, it has much more followers. Also, on my mind, Sandbox offers much easier tools to build own games, nft, avatars(heroes), game attributes, etc. Those tools really don't require a specific knowledge in programming and they are downloadable, i.e. you could better organize a working environment on own pc. Frankly, it's too hard to predict anything in the crypto world, especially for a long term. Yes, right, the crypto tech is developing too fast and the time is going much faster here that in traditional finance, so we should consider one year as a long while. Well, let's try. Both coins had the ATH very recently, a week ago. SAND jumped ~x9, MANA ~X8 within previous 5-6 weeks only, after almost a year of been in a flat move, means while teams have been in preparations, new developments, etc. It was a big enough jump as for a short time and preparations took about a year for teams. So, we should expect a certain cold-down after the price peak, as it happens usually. A long winter holidays(xmas, new year, chinesse new year, etc.) will just enforce this effect, as a low business activity period everywhere. Now both prices, SAND&MANA, went down about 23%-25% from ATH. And i think, they will continue go down in the 1st Q of 2022, maybe in the 2nd too, until developers might offer any new&attractive game options, or investment options, or promo. I don't think that both prices will come much lower than 30%-50% as they are now (SAND $6.45, MANA $4.33), because both coins have a good usecase and a big active communities, so the downtrand because of speculations should be compensated by the demand of gamers community in a certain measure. But in any way, now is not a right time to buy SAND as well as MANA.

You can own a land sell it ,rent it or divide it , create stores clubs and so .... . Sandbox is an older one and started in 2012 and is most famous , bigger community with many new ideas and it's token is sand with cheaper price. Many celebrities are in back of Sandbox and has a good developer team. They started main game after Decntraland Sandbox has a game maker for windows so you can create your own character or land in very customized state decentraland is newer and started in 2015 from a 2d game. It has fewer parcels and fewer capabilities to control your environment. its token is Luna and has higher price that won't let it fly.

Sand box is in start and has a good hard-copy. It has some limitations in issuing coins and some coins are 'promising locked by community' that will let token take better price Instead Decentraland's token has high price and burning token won't help too. I guess in 2022 Luna will move till $100 and Sand box till $30 or even more
