Cute, funny and a little bit crazy!!!

Explore the Core.

My Neighbor Alice is a farming-themed play-to-earn builder game built on Chromia. The game bills itself as a place where “players can buy and own virtual islands, collect and build exciting items while also making new friends.” Each player has their own avatar representing them in the game, which they can modify as they please. Players can buy virtual real estate from Alice, the game’s eponymous central figure, or the internal marketplace. All purchased land is represented as an NFT. My Neighbor Alice aims to introduce blockchain to millions of players and targets a diverse gaming community within the traditional gaming market. Although the game is blockchain-based and integrates DeFi features, it does not require prior knowledge of cryptocurrency and blockchain. My Neighbor Alice takes inspiration from several popular sources. For instance, daily in-game tasks and social aspects are inspired by Animal Crossing, whereas Minecraft serves as a role model for building mechanics. The artwork was inspired by the Swedish children’s book Pettson and Findus

My Neighbor Alice - From Beta to Mainnet. As announced, Chromia took its first baby step into MVP Mainnet, which will enable my neighbor Alice transition to a “live” game on Mainnet. The team's focus remains on two areas: Community and Self-expression, which are enabled by decentralizing the power to the players. That’s exactly where their motto comes from: Power to the Players. In My Neighbor Alice, new content is produced every in-game season and generally consumed within 1-2 months. Their first idea of Power to the Players meant that you own and create content for My Neighbor Alice: your game is shaping our Universe. The team are here to give you all the tools and support that you need. In the last six months, they have seen many Neighbors crafting and landscaping extraordinary plots. This is testament and proof that their direction is something that their players find valuable. That is why, when releasing their Mainnet version, they will also roll out more tools for self-expression: personalization crafting machines, dialog systems, quest tools, and NFT integration features. All of this is done with the goal of fostering self-expression. So the Chromia MVP Mainnet is another step into their decentralization path. The team will continue to increase and develop the tooling and smart contracts libraries (in Chromia’s lingo: modules) while processing their transitions towards Mainnet.
