Luna was impacted because it's the underlying [backer] of the UST. So every time a UST [token] is bought, a Luna [token] is burnt, which means there's less tokens in supply, so the Luna price goes up.

I had time to take advantage when the early luna decreased. I trade in futures and trade short positions. This makes me get quite a lot of profit. but unfortunately futures trading has also closed for Luna coins

The Terra ecosystem has adopted UST as a stablecoin, leading to the interlinking of LUNA and UST. A stablecoin is linked to an underlying asset, such as precious metal such as gold, or the US dollar. UST has recently ‘de-pegged’ to $0.45 from its value of $1. This marked a drop of about 55 percent. Since both UST and LUNA are interlinked, the massive drop in UST value has resulted in LUNA’s overall drop. As per CoinDesk, Terra’s market cap now stands at under $1 billion ($994.17 million at the time of writing). This is in stark contrast to its all-time high market cap of around $25 billion. For now, investors can only wait for the market to progressively stabilise to help recover from the losses.

I think the luna crash was caused by very unpredictable coin inflation. The large number of coins printed in a short period of time causes the price to drop. that's not very good. I also think it was done by dev luna to cover liquid ust. but, sadly that didn't happen. I can only guess, that dev luna had planned long before. but that's just my opinion, I'm not accusing dev luna of fraud. It is just. prevention can be done if the project is really moving in the right corridor. Basically this is the dev's fault.

The crash of Luna shows the volatility of the crypto market and especially the value of stablecoins (UST) based on algorithms. When UST lost its dollar peg and its value dropped to $0.68, its holders started exchanging it for other stablecoin thus causing the value of Terra Luna to fall.

No it hasn't affected me in anyway due to the fact that I was not a holder of Luna coins nor had any investment in the Terra ecosystem. In fact I didn't really know alot about Terra at all until the crash.

As with the crypto ecosystem, when a crash happens, investors will come in to buy while the value is low. So eventually, I do see the Luna recovering, but whether it will recover its all-time high remains to be seen.
